Welcome to the home of Eighty-Watt Cinema!
We are a New York-based production company currently readying our first feature-length project for production in 2008. If you’re interested, you can read up on us in greater detail in our About section.
It is our hope that this site will serve not only as a locus of important information about the company and our films, but also as an important resource for independent filmmakers, students of the cinema, and anyone who aspires to make a living in this business doing what they love.
The Surprise (2004, 35mm short) was our film school after film school—and it was our aim in building this site to provide unfettered access to everything we wish we had seen or known about nearly two years ago when we began this little experiment.
